Taking the advantage of Hengtai on the production experiences of Chlorinated paraffin, we invested CNY 4 millions in equipment and built two Benzoyl chloride production lines in October, 2007. At present, we annually produce 4,500 tons of Benzoyl chloride for Chinese market. Benzoyl chloride has wide applications in industry, including pharmaceuticals, pesticide, food additive and chemical catalysts; its demand exceeds supply now. There are only 3 manufacturers in our province, thus we get substantial economic benefits from this product.
